Orchard Park, N.Y. (WKBW) - Orchard Park is a quant little town on the rise, all the way to the big screen.

"This whole area is just so beautiful and so perfect for almost anything we want to do," Director Greg Robbins said.

Two movies set in Orchard Park are "Through a Mother's Eyes" and "Superheroes Don't Need Capes". Gregg Robbins and Tab Entertainment direct the movies. The company is named after the Tabernacle Church on Southwestern Blvd in Orchard Park.

"It's like we have a real live movie studio," Robbins said.

Robbins said they spend about $150,000 a movie, which is a low budget film. He said the quality is Hollywood grade. They shot scenes in the Tabernacle Church and across the village. Even in the Nativity of Our Lord Cemetery. The rain seen in the movie is courtesy of the Orchard Park Fire Department.

"Then we wanted to shoot in the graveyard. The church said 'yes' go ahead. When we want rain the Fire Chief was there with a snap of the fingers with a fire truck. Everyone is so kind. When we tell them what we are doing they are so eager to help," Robbins said.

Pastor Tommy Reid is with Tabernacle Church and has teamed up with Robbins for these movies. He said it's good exposure, not just for Orchard Park, but the entire Western New York area.

"What a phenomenal area that is with the beauty of nature. It's really a gorgeous area to show off and film," Reid said.

Robbins said he immediately fell in love with the area. What surprised him the most is what the people had to offer.

"The Buffalo area is filled with beautiful talent. An untapped market full of talented actors and actresses," Robbins said.

Robbins said although his hometown of Hollywood has a reputation for being the best in the business, he said he's found a whole new world here, on and off the big screen. He now calls Orchard Park home.

Tickets for the premiere of the movie are on sale now. The movie will be shown at the Hamburg Theatre on May 4th. You can get tickets by clicking throughamotherseyesthemovie.com
