Amherst, N.Y. (WKBW) - 20-year-old Michaela Kowalick has been making the holiday season bright for kids in WNY for seven years.

Now with the help of her employer, Anderson's Ice Cream, this year will be even sweeter.

Kowalick started a toy drive back in 2007 by going around her neighborhood and asking for donations.

Over the years she's helped collect hundreds of toys for kids in need.

This year, Anderson's is promoting the toy drive.

Now through December 8th you can donate a new and unwrapped toy for kids ages 12 and under and several of the Anderson's locations.

When you donate you'll receive a coupon to go toward a sweet treat as Michaela and Anderson's way of saying thank you.

The toys will be sent to WNY Heroes and distributed from there.
