TONAWANDA, NY (WKBW) - Law enforcement records obtained by Eyewitness News paint Joe Hollywood as a kooky and sometimes violent man who loved the spotlight as much as he loved complaining to police.

During a ten year period, officers became experts at dealing with Hollywood.

Especially when he got into "one of his moods," as described in one police report.

Before his death on Monday, Town of Tonawanda Police had two run-ins with Hollywood with a few days of each other back in May.

Hollywood called to report several cars speeding down his street.

It was a popular complaint that Hollywood made at least a half-dozen times during the past ten years.

"He's pretty much acting up and acting a little bit in a strange manner virtually every time we dealt with him," said Tonawanda Police Lt. Nick Bado on Monday, the day that Hollywood set his home on fire and died in the basement of smoke inhalation.
