Buffalo N.Y. (WKBW) A beloved former Buffalo Bill has been diagnosed with a concussion-related disorder.

Joe Delamielleure says he's been diagnosed with signs of CTE, a brain disease brought on by repeated head trauma.

And he wants the NFL to step up.

Joe D. played for the Bills as an offensive lineman from 1973 to 1980.

Since then he has become vocal in support of more research on head trauma in the league.

Back in August he was one of 4500 former players to settle a lawsuit with the NFL over concussions.

Now he wants the NFL to offer better health care.

"We were the guinea pigs for this league.... I understood that, hey if you play football you could break your never was it mentioned that you could have brain damage in your fifties," said Delamielleure in-part.
