WNY (WKBW) - Business First is breaking down the numbers for nonprofit groups in WNY. They have a big impact on the economy with revenues of $2.3 billion and nearly 57,000 employees.

On Friday, Business First is releasing its 2012 Million Dollar Nonprofits report on agencies in the eight-county region with revenues of at least $1 million. Nearly 300 agencies qualify for the report, which is based on 2010 tax data.

People, Inc. remains the largest agency on the list, with total revenue of $125 million. Just one other agency topped the $100 million mark: The Resource Center in Jamestown had total income of almost $108 million. Rounding out the top five are Aspire of WNY Inc., $69 million; Visiting Nursing Association of WNY, $50 million; and Hospice Buffalo Inc., $45 million.
