BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - A half dozen homes were evacuated late Tuesday night following a natural gas leak, caused by a car crashing into a house.

Buffalo Police and Fire were called to 248 Courtland Ave. in the city's Langfield Neighborhood.

Residents report a car crashed into the home, rupturing a natural gas meter.

No injuries were reported.

Crews from the utility, National Fuel, were called in to repair the leak. Residents were allowed to return to the homes a short time after.

The Red Cross is helping two residents from the home where the gas leak occurred with food and housing.
