HAMBURG, NY (WKBW) - South Buffalo native and Chicago Blackhawk's star center Patrick Kane has purchased a five-bedroom, 3.5-bath home along the Lake Erie shore.

The home on Old Lakeshore Road sold for $2.68 million dollars, making it the third largest price paid for a residence in Erie County.

"A lot of the players that are buying their second homes here are spending more money," said broker Maureen Flavin with Realty USA.

Flavin was not involved in the Kane transaction, but is familiar with high-end real estate. She currently has a home on the market in Wales, a stunning estate, for $2.39 million.

"A lot of these are people that really want their privacy, that want the seclusion, and stay under the radar," Flavin said of potential buyers.
