BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Dr. Pamela Brown officially resigned as superintendent of the Buffalo School District on Monday, walking away with a severance package of nearly $240,000.

The board approved the separation agreement, which was negotiated behind closed doors.

Brown will receive:

$217,500, the value of her current salary for one year.

$9,166 in accrued vacation.

$10,000 for her performance during the 2012-2013 school year.

$2,000 to consult by telephone with district officials between now and August 16, 2014.

Associate Superintendent Will Keresztes will replace Dr. Brown on a temporary basis, possibly for just two or three weeks. The board approved the appointment shortly after accepting Dr. Brown's resignation.
