Anthony James hasn't been the same ever since someone viciously murdered his 30 year old daughter three days before Thanksgiving 2013.

"I don't see how anyone could take someone's life like that. To stab them to death and then burn them," said James.

They are questions he may never get answers to.

For now, the ashes of his first born daughter Desirae James sit in a box in his living room surrounded by other things she loved like pictures with her family, her eyeglasses, and even her favorite hat.

"I wouldn't want anybody else's family to go through this," said James.

On the morning of November 25, 2013 investigators found Desirae's body inside her 2004 Red Pontiac Bonneville.

It had been set on fire on Swinburne Street near Broadway in Buffalo.

Autopsy results revealed she had been brutally stabbed to death.

So far the family tells us investigators have a list of eight suspects but three were eliminated.

"I know that nothing is going to bring her back. I may never know why but I'd just like to know who," said James.

Anthony James tells us police are trying to track down one man who Desirae had some sort of argument with over Facebook.

Her family hopes someone with information comes forward as they now prepare to honor her birthday Friday, February 28, 2014 during a memorial birthday celebration at 49 Reed Street, Buffalo.

if you have any information on the murder of Desirae James call Buffalo Police at 716-847-2255.
