BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - The City of Buffalo has asked the New York State Liquor Authority to revoke the liquor license for a Chippewa Entertainment District nightclub.

A 19-year-old man was shot and injured outside Social Nightclub in the early morning hours of New Year's Day.

Horace Miller was shot near the corner of Franklin Street and Huron just after 3 o'clock Monday morning. A short time later, patrol officers with the Buffalo Police Department apprehended 21 year-old Chemere Barclay.

Buffalo police said Miller was inside Social Nightclub just before he was shot.

Barclay is charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon in connection to the attack on Miller.

Miller was taken to ECMC. As of Tuesday afternoon, he was listed in serious condition.

Calls to Social Nightclub were not returned.
