A local restaurant owner went bald for bucks and let a former Sabres player do the honors.

Chef's restaurant owner Lou Billitier got his head shaved clean by former Sabre Rob Ray in front of a crowd of donors.

All of the money raised helped to fund cutting-edge research at Roswell Park.

"The more funds that are raised, the quicker we'll find a cure for this disease," said Billitier. "And that's my real reason of doing it, to raise money and to bring awareness, and also solidarity for the people who are going through chemo. You know this is easy for my, I'm electing to do this, but these people don't, and it's very devastating to use your hair."

"Bald for Bucks" was started 10 years ago by the brother of a Roswell Park patient who promised to keep his head bald until his sister's hair grew back.
