BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Buffalo Bills General Manager Buddy Nix was thinking about releasing quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick on Thursday.

"You can't afford to pay that kind of money to a guy that's fighting for probably a backup job," Nix told Tampa Bay Buccaneers GM Mark Dominik.

"We're still struggling here with our quarterback. I say struggling. We're not really struggling. He's going to have to do something, or we'll have to," Nix said.

The comments were recorded by a pair of pranksters in their 20's according to, which posted the six-minute recording.

Deadspin details how the phone call between the two general managers was recorded.
