NEW YORK CITY, NY (WKBW) - Lara Spencer brings some Hollywood glamour to Good Morning America. She re-joined the show as the "Lifestyles Anchor" just over a year ago, after spending a few years in Los Angeles on the Entertainment News show "The Insider". She's now known for getting her morning cohorts laughing with her "pop news" segments, and now an afternoon audience is getting to know Lara too. She's one of the co-hosts of the new "Good Afternoon America".

It makes for a long day, so I asked Lara how she manages to keep her energy level up for both shows.

"Here's a GMA behind the scenes secret. My dressing room used to be Robin's dressing room which used to be Diana Sawyer's dressing room and somebody installed a napping space, and I love you for that. haha, because I use it, especially now," Lara said.

Lara also shared a little bit about her after hours get-togethers with Robin Roberts, Sam Champion and Josh Elliott at a secret bar.

Lara credits the chemistry developed during those secret "meetings" for taking GMA to the top of the ratings lately, and for more proof that what they're doing is working, Lara says just take a look at Times Square.

"Every day the crowd gets a little bit bigger, a little bit bigger. That's sort of the barometer of how we're doing. From when I started till now, the crowd is five times as big and I dare say the NYPD better get ready because I think it's just going to keep growing," Lara said.
