Buffalo, NY (WKBW) - Dozens of people packed the State Supreme Court, all surrounding the State Attorney General's request to permanently close a crematory on Sheridan Drive in a Tonawanda neighborhood.

Amigone Funeral Homes, Inc. Temporarily closed the crematory in May of 2012, after the state brought up environmental concerns and announced plans for litigation.

An attorney for Amigone said in court that the company is trying to move to a different location. However, the idea of re-opening at a different area on-site has been brought up as an alternative plan.

Amigone Funeral Homes, Inc. asked the judge to dismiss the state's motion.

The judge will make a ruling at a later time.
