NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) 34-year old Eula McCray from Niagara Falls is now charged with menacing and endangering the welfare of her child.

Police say she forced her 13-year old daughter to fight another young teenage girl, and the conflict was recorded on a cell phone by a bystander and then posted to FACEBOOK.

McCray claims she went to police to file a report about the bully-related problems in September 2013 - but nothing came of it.

The Niagara Falls woman then decided to force her daughter to stand-up for herself by fighting.

Niagara Falls Police Superintendent Bryan DalPorto says the 2013 incident was investigated by the Juvenile Division due to the girls age, and Niagara Falls Police were not aware of any other problems being reported since then.

DalPorto says the FACEBOOK video upset many veteran officers because it showed the mother hitting her daughter's face and cussing at her to start fighting the other girl.

Experts recommend that parents should never resort to violence in dealing with a bully, and bully problems also need to be reported to school districts.
