Buffalo, N.Y. (WKBW-TV) - A collaborative effort of over 30 churches have been restoring a neighborhood on Buffalo's West Side.
Volunteers of "Breakout" are revitalizing areas around Albany Street.
They are doing various projects from roofing, painting, to landscaping.
Over the course of several days the group plans to tackle some 30 projects.
In addition to the volunteers, local businesses and vendors such as Buffalo Roofing have also gotten involved.
"This community has been hurting for a long time, waiting for restoration and renewal. The hope and healing that is brought to the families and individuals of this community through Breakout, is nothing short of a miracle and an answer to our prayers." Says Pastor Angel Gauthier of Prince of Peace Church.
