Pittsburgh (WKBW) While the Buffalo Sabres were busy making their selections at the 2012 NHL Draft, a Buffalo native was also buy getting selected. Dylan Blujus of Snyder was selected 40th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning. The 6'3" defenseman spent his last two seasons playing for the Brampton Battalion.

Blujus spoke to Eyewitness Sports just a few hours after he was drafted.

"It feels great. Tampa Bay is a great city, a great organization. I'm just looking forward for everything that is going to come," he said.

Being drafted out of Buffalo was also a sense of pride for the draft pick.

"It feels great to be a Buffalo kid and put in the class of kids drafted out of Buffalo. Some are playing and some are on their way, and it feels great to be in the group with those guys," he added.
