In their final game before the All-Star break, the Buffalo Sabres had an opportunity to snap a three-game losing streak before getting nearly a week off from action. The young Jack Eichel scored twice, helping the Sabres to a 3-2 victory over the Ottawa Senators Tuesday at Canadian Tire Centre.

Shortly after Ottawa took a 2-1 lead midway through the second period, Eichel answered back on the power play. He caught the Senators on a change, took a pass from goaltender Robin Lehner coast-to-coast, and scored a highlight-worthy wraparound goal.

Eichel went on to add the game-winner in the third period, and now has 16 goals on the season.

Lehner made his first start in Ottawa since being traded to Buffalo in the offseason, and also collected his first victory as a goaltender for the Sabres. He stopped 34 saves en route to the win.

The Sabres now get some time to rest for the All-Star festivties, and will next be in action on Wednesday, February 3 on the road against Montreal.
