Newark, NJ (WKBW) -- The Buffalo Sabres stay unbeaten on the road as they defeated the New Jersey Devils Wednesday night 4-1.

Sabres rookie forward Tim Kennedy scored his first NHL goal against Devil's net-minder Martin Brodeur to make it 2-0 less than 6 minutes into the opening period.

The win puts the Sabres at 7-1-1 overall this season, and on top of the North East Division standings.

The Sabres will host the struggling Toronto Maple Leafs Friday at the HSBC Arena, with the puck drop at 7:30 p.m.
