Sabres Sign Schutz

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - German-born forward Felix Schutz agreed to
a three-year rookie entry-level contract with the Buffalo Sabres on
Wednesday.
Buffalo's fourth-round pick in the 2006 NHL draft, Schutz was
the German Elite League's rookie of the year this past season after
scoring 25 points (12 goals and 13 assists) in 46 games for ERC
Ingolstadt.
Listed at 5-foot-11 and 192 pounds, Schutz spent the previous
two seasons developing in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League,
where he scored 40 goals and added 56 assists in 110 games split
between Saint John and Val D'Or.
He also represented Germany in both the World Junior and World
championships in 2007.
