Connolly to have surgery

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Buffalo Sabres center Tim Connolly will
have surgery Monday remove bone chips in his hip and he'll be out
for the rest of the regular season.
The hip injury has bothered Connolly for much of the past three
months, and he had hoped to complete the season before having
surgery.
He missed 13 straight games from January 10th to February 8th,
before returning to the lineup, then played in 14 games before
aggravating the injury when he crashed into the boards.
Connolly has one year left on a three-year, $8.7 million dollar
contract, and is scheduled to make $3.5 million dollars next
season.
