Buffalo (WKBW) The Buffalo Sabres have seven games left in the season, and they'll have to play all seven without Tyler Myers.
The Sabres announced on Friday that the defenseman will miss the rest of the season because of a broken bone in his leg. The injury is believed to have happened in the second period of the Sabres 5-1 loss to the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday night. Myers was in obvious pain after blocking a pair of shots while trying to kill off a 5-on-3 advantage for Montreal.
The injury is a tough end to a tough season for Myers who struggled with consistency for most of the year. The defenseman finishes with 3 goals and 5 assists in 38 games. He also had a -9 rating on the year.
