Buffalo (WKBW.com) Don't look now, but the Buffalo Sabres are on a roll and they are doing it in dramatic fashion against some of the top teams in the league. Monday night the Sabres knocked off Vancouver 4-3 in overtime. It was the fifth straight trip to overtime for the Sabres, who have picked up 9 of 10 points over the last five games.

Tyler Myers was the latest Sabre to play hero in overtime. His game winning goal came at the 4:37 mark of the OT period. Myers scored off a Vancouver turnover, and beat Cory Schneider for the victory.

The Sabres built a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by Tyler Ennis and Cody McCormick. Buffalo took a 3-1 lead in the second when Steve Montador scored his third goal of the season, but the Sabres would watch that cushion slip away in the third.

Alexander Edler scored on the power play to cut the lead to 3-2, Mikael Samuelsson would tie things up for Vancouver at the 9:21 mark of the third before the game skated into overtime.

Thomas Vanek finished with two assists on the night for the Sabres who next play Wednesday in Washington
