Buffalo (WKBW.com) It's tough to win games, when you don't score goals. The Sabres failed to beat St. Louis goaltender Ty Conklin on 25 shots, and lost in shutout fashion to the Blues 3-0 on Friday night.

The loss was the Sabres second straight to open up a six game homestand.

T.J. Oshi and David Backes scored for the Blues in the second period. Vladimir Sobotka added an empty net goal late in the third.

Ryan Miller made 24 saves in the loss. The Sabres host the Washington Capitals on Sunday.
