Sabres fall to Capitals

Washington (WKBW.com) The Sabres spotted the Washington Capitals a 3 goal lead before eventually bowing to the NHL's top team 4-2 on Wednesday night.



Derek Roy, and Jordan Leopold scored goals 48 seconds apart in the second period to pull the Sabres with a goal, but it wouldn't be enough.
Alexander Semin added an empty net goal in the final seconds of the third period to seal the victory for the Capitals.



Nicklas Backstrom and Matt Bradley scored first period goals for Washington. Ryan Miller had 28 saves in the loss for Buffalo.
The Sabres host the L.A. Kings on Friday night.
