Toronto (WKBW.com) It was a rock bottom night for a Sabres offense that has been struggling to produce. The Sabres were shutout in Toronto on Tuesday night 2-0 in the teams third straight loss, and seventh straight on the road. Jonas Gustavsson had 32 saves for the Leafs to record the shut out.

Nikolai Kulemin and Mikhail Grabovski scored for Toronto in the first period. Kulemin scored on the power play for the Leafs who went 1-for-4 with the man advantage. The Sabres were not awarded a power play on the night.

Sabres forward Thomas Vanek left the game following the first period and did not return. The team announced that Vanek had suffered an upper body injury, but Head Coach Lindy Ruff later revealed that Vanek was suffering from the stomach flu and food poisoning.

The Sabres host the Leafs on Friday night before hitting the road for a seven game road swing.
