Sabres bounce Bruins, Lose Kaleta to Injury

Boston (WKBW.com) The Sabres and Bruins traded goals back and forth, and then Thomas Vanek took over in the third period to lead Buffalo to a 4-2 win over Boston.



With the game tied at 2 in the third period Vanek scored his 18th goal of the season and set up Jason Pominville for another.
Ryan Miller made 38 saves, as the Sabres bounced the Bruins on Thursday night.



Cody McCormick, and Nathan Gerbe also scored for the Sabres who now return home to host the New York Islanders on Friday night.



On the injury front forward Patrick Kaleta appeared to re-injure his left hand in the second period. Kaleta laid down to block a shot which appeared to go off his left hand. He left the game and did not return. His status is expected to be updated on Friday.
