Buffalo (WKBW.com) Jhonas Enroth made 29 saves, and Nathan Gerbe scored the game winning goal as the Sabres knocked off the Calgary Flames 2-1 on Friday night. The win was only the second of the season for the Sabres at the First Niagara Center.

The Sabres came out flying in the first period and Drew Stafford would get Buffalo on the board. Stafford took a pass from Derek Roy and fired it home past Henrik Karlsson for the 1-0 lead. It was Stafford's 4th goal of the season.

Nathan Gerbe would make it 2-0 Buffalo early in the third with his third goal of the season. The Flames Alex Tanguay would redirect a shot past Enroth at 5:45 in the third to snap Enroths shutout streak at 107:39.

Karlsson had 43 saves on the night for the Flames.

The win pushed the Sabres to 7-and-5 on the year.
