Buffalo (WKBW.com) The Buffalo Sabres added some scoring late on Sunday night by acquiring center Brad Boyes from the St. Louis for a second round pick in the 2011 draft.

The six year veteran has 41 points in 61 games this year for the Blues. He is signed through the 2011-2012 season which falls in line with the type of player the Sabres were looking for under new owner Terry Pegula who said he wanted a player that could help the team "for more then this year".

The NHL trade deadline expires at 3pm on Monday. Stay tune with Eyewitness Sports throughout the day for the latest.
