Sabres Snap, beat Columbus 5-0

Buffalo (WKBW.com) All week long Lindy Ruff harped on offense, drilled the power play and used the teams extended break to play with the lines. Friday night the Sabres came out swinging, and snapped on Columbus



Ryan Miller made 19 saves , and the Sabres scored three power play goals, in a 5-0 blowout of the Blue Jackets.



Drew Stafford had a goal and an assist in his return to the lineup. Stafford had missed 10 games with a shoulder injury. Jochen Hecht, Jason Pominville, Tyler Ennis and Thomas Vanek also scored for the Sabres.



This game got ugly in the third period with several fights, none bigger then the Sabres Patrick Kaleta hitting Derek Dorsett with close to 20 left hands. Buffalo finished with 63 penalty minutes. That's the most the team had been penalized since October of 2008 against the New York Islanders when the Sabres had 73 PIM.



The Sabres get right back to work on Saturday when the take on the Senators in Ottawa.
