NASHVILLE, TENN. - (WKBW) It was over early in the Music City. Now the Sabres are coming home singing the blues. The Buffalo Sabres capped a five-game road trip by losing to the Nashville Predators 6-1.

The Preds got four pucks past goalie Matt Hackett in the first period. Colton Sissons scored his first NHL goal 6:26 into regulation. Then Colin Wilson and Calle Jarnkrok scored nine seconds apart. Captain Shea Weber tallied a 5-on-3 power play goal for the home team late in the frame.

Rookie Nathan Lieuwen replaced Hackett between the pipes to start the second period.

Rasmus Ristolainen got the Sabres on the scoreboard 2:06 into the middle period. The 19-year-old defenseman was called up from AHL Rochester before the game.

Shea Weber added his second of the night, and 20th goal of the season, about four minutes later.

Eric Nystrom scored in the third period.

The Sabres next host the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday.
