PITTSBURGH, PA - (WKBW) The Buffalo Sabres suffered their first regulation loss since February 20th, losing on Tuesday night to the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-1.
Sabres forward Rob Niedermayer opened the scoring in the first period as he registered his second goal of the season and second in as many games.
However, the Pens responded with a pair in the second period. James Neal and Zbynek Michalek scored their first goals as Penguins.
Mark Letestu added a third period goal for the winners.
Ryan Miller made 28 saves in the losing effort.
Buffalo has two games remaining on their seven-game road trip.
They next visit Boston on Thursday.
