EDMONTON, ALBERTA (WKBW) - Mike Weber scored the first two goals of his career and Ryan Miller picked up his 200th career win as the Sabres beat the Oilers 4-2 on Tuesday.
Dustin Penner scored just 1:27 into the game putting Buffalo in a 1-0 hole. The Sabres Luke Adam scored before the first period was complete to knot the game at one.
Mike Weber scored his first career goal in the second period, Jochen Hecht scored early in the third to give the Sabres a 3-1 lead.
Ryan Jones drew the Oilers within one goal later in the third before Weber notched the empty-netter.
Miller made 29 saves in the victory. The Sabres return home to face the Boston Bruins on New Year's day.
