Sabres Lose to Lightning

BUFFALO, NY - (WKBW) The Buffalo Sabres tried, but they could not rally from a two-goal third period deficit on a second consecutive night. The Sabres lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday 2-1.

Steve Downie and Steven Stamkos beat Ryan Miller in the second period.

Jason Pominville scored for Buffalo in the third frame.

Sabres defenseman Christian Ehrhoff's slap shot hit the crossbar with one minute remaining in regulation.

The Sabres rallied from down two-nothing on Friday to beat the Dallas Stars, 3-2, in a shootout.

The Sabres next host the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday.
