BUFFALO, NY (WKBW/Sabres) - The Buffalo Sabres Development Camp at Niagara University's Dwyer Arena kicked off today. It will run through Sunday, July 10th. The following practice sessions are open to the public:
Wednesday, July 6 – 9:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
Thursday July 7 – 9:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
Friday, July 8 - 9:45 p.m. - 12:45 a.m.
Saturday, July 9 - 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Sunday, July 10- 10:30-12:30 p.m.
More than 35 Sabres prospects are expected to attend the six-day camp, including several of the team’s recent 2011 NHL Draft picks. The players will take part in both on-ice and off-ice workouts. The goals of the camp are to give prospective players the fundamental ideas of the Sabres playing system and conditioning programs of an NHL player. Camp participants will also study and examine NHL rules and the successful techniques a player must possess to become a professional athlete.
