BUFFALO, NY - (WKBW) The Buffalo Sabres beat the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday 5-2. After being scratched for the past eleven games, Sabres captain/defenseman Craig Rivet returned to the lineup scoring a goal and an assist.

Drew Stafford (power play), Nathan Gerbe, and Tyler Ennis (power play) beat Ducks goaltender Curtis McElhinney in the first period.

Ennis' power play marker came after Jason Blake was given a major penalty for hitting Sabres tough guy Patrick Kaleta from behind. Kaleta would be okay but was kept out of the game by Head Coach Lindy Ruff.

Ennis scored his second goal of the night in the second period.

Rivet notched his first goal of the season in the third period.

Corey Perry got on the board for the Ducks with two third period power play goals.

Ryan Miller stopped 21 shots for Buffalo. The Sabres host the Panthers on Thursday.
