Sabres can't shake Blues

Buffalo (WKBW) Brendan Morrow scored a pair of goals and Jaroslav Halak made 24 saves as the St. Louis Blues defeated the Buffalo Sabres 4-to-1 on Tuesday night at the First Niagara Center. The loss dropped the Sabres to 5-17-1 on the season.

Tyler Ennis scored the lone Buffalo goal just ten seconds into the game. His fourth of the year gave the Sabres a 1-0 lead but Morrow answered back just :59 seconds later for the Blues. Vladimir Tarasenko scored on the power play later in the first period for St. Louis. Morrow scored his second of the game at 14:09 of the second period. Magnus Paajarvi scored his first goal of the season at 6:10 of the third.

The Sabres play in Philadelphia on Thursday.
