Reports: No Suspension for Richards

April 25, 2011 Updated Apr 25, 2011 at 3:03 PM EDT

Buffalo (WKBW.com) According to multiple reports Flyers captain Mike Richards will not be suspended for his hit from behind on Sabres forward Tim Connolly. Richards drove Connolly into the boards from behind late in the second period of game six on Sunday. Connolly left the game and did not return. He will not be available for game seven in Philadelphia on Tuesday.

Sabres Goaltender Ryan Miller was furious on Sunday night about the hit, and was still upset on Monday morning. "The guy that was complaining the most about us getting away with "Murder" has the two dirtiest hits of the series.", said Miller. "The blatant elbow to the face (on Pat Kaleta), and driving Tim Connolly head first into the boards."

Richards was given a two minute minor for boarding on the hit on Connolly on Sunday.
