OLCOTT BEACH, N.Y. (WKBW) For the second year in a row, a New York State community has been named the "Ultimate Fishing Town" by the World Fishing Network.

The 2012 winner is Olcott Beach, NY in Niagara County.

Olcott Beach received a trophy, a $25,000 check to be used for a fishing project, and it will be featured on the World Fishing Network.

The month long competition used social media to collect the online votes.

When it was over, Olcott Beach had received over 350,000 votes.

Mariko Izumi, host of "Hookin' Up with Mariko Izumi" on the World Fishing Network, presented the check to Town of Newfane Supervisor Tim Horanburg.

The award set off a day-long celebration which included the festive award ceremony and a parade through the center of Olcott Beach.
