Miller shaky, Sabres fall again at home

November 2, 2011 Updated Nov 2, 2011 at 11:59 PM EDT

Buffalo (WKBW.com) Goaltender Ryan Miller lasted all of 6:23 on Wednesday night before being pulled in a 3-2 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers. Miller surrendered three goals on 11 shots in the first period before being replaced by Jhonas Enroth. The setback dropped the Sabres to 6-5 on the year, and 1-4 at the First Niagara Center.

Miller was shaky but wasn't helped by an uninspired start by his teammates. Sean Couturier opened the scoring at the 1:43 mark for the Flyers banging home rebound past Miller. James van Riemsdyk then scored :13 seconds later, before Scott Hartnell chased Miller with his 5th goal of the season.

Andrej Sekera scored in the second period for the Sabres. Luke Adam scored in the third to cut the lead to a single goal, but it wasn't enough.

The Sabres host Calgary on Friday, before traveling to Ottawa on Saturday.
