BUFFALO,NY - (WKBW) Ryan Miller practiced for about 30 minutes on Monday as he returns from an upper-body injury. The Sabres goaltender took the ice after his team's practice at HSBC Arena, doing individual positioning drills. He did not face any shots.
Miller has not played since a loss to Toronto on March 29th when he took a shot to the collarbone area.
Sabres Head Coach Lindy Ruff maintains that Miller is still the Sabres' number one netminder even though rookie Jhonas Enroth has played well while tending the crease in Miller's absence.
Ruff says Enroth will start on Tuesday night when Buffalo hosts Tampa Bay. Ruff also says he is not worried that Miller's injury will last into the playoffs if the Sabres qualify.
Miller is expected to start practicing with the team on Tuesday morning before Buffalo faces the Lightning.
