Buffalo (WKBW.com) There was a sense of panic across Sabres Nation early Wednesday evening. Late word that Ryan Miller was injured, and unavailable for the battle of seventh place against New York. Have no fear. Jhonas Enroth is here.

Enroth made 23 saves to earn his first NHL shutout as the Sabres beat the New York Rangers 1-0 on Wednesday night. The victory pushed the Sabres into 7th place in the Eastern Conference Standings.

Tim Connolly scored the lone goal of the game. Striking on the power play in the second period for his 12th goal of the season.

The win came on a special night for Enroth who had his parents in town to watch the game. The Sabres now have 5 games remaining, and a couple of days off before a trip to Washington on Saturday.

Following the game Sabres Head Coach Lindy Ruff said once again that Ryan Miller has an upper body injury. He's listed as day to day. Earlier in the evening Sabres GM Darcy Regier said there was a possibility that Miller could be healthy by the weekend.
