November 18, 2011 Updated Nov 18, 2011 at 11:15 PM EDT

RALEIGH, NC - (WKBW) Jhonas Enroth stopped 34 shots, bouncing back from his first regulation defeat in almost a year, leading the Buffalo Sabres to a 1-0 win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday night.

Enroth, who allowed five goals in a loss to New Jersey last Wednesday, was superb between the pipes against the 'Canes. He earned his first shutout of the season and second of his career.

Jason Pominville scored the lone goal of the night, on the power play, in the first period.

The Sabres host the Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday.
