BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - The Buffalo Sabres have picked up the one-year team option on Head Coach Lindy Ruff. The longest-tenured head coach in the NHL will return for a 13th season behind the bench.
Sabres minority owner Larry Quinn made the announcement during the team's season-ending press conference on Thursday. Quinn also stated that the club is ready to start talking about a long-term extension for both Ruff and General Manager Darcy Regier.
