BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Sabres center Tim Connolly is ready to return to the lineup for game one of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals against the Boston Bruins. Buffalo Head Coach Lindy Ruff says Connolly is "a go" for Thursday's face-off. The team's second leading scorer missed the final nine games of the regular season with a foot injury.

Ruff also says a decision regarding injured winger Jochen Hecht will be made on Thursday. Hecht missed the final three games of the regular season with a finger injury. He has practiced over the past two days.

Drew Stafford practiced in a non-contact role today. He is unlikely to play in the playoff opener. The winger suffered a concussion last Saturday against Ottawa.

The Sabres begin their first round series with the Bruins on Thursday night, in Buffalo, at 7:00pm.
