Ducks decline offer sheet, Dustin Penner signs with Edmonton

ANAHEIM, Calif. - Dustin Penner is a member of the Edmonton Oilers.

Anaheim declined to match the US(Canadian) $21.25-million, five-year offer sheet he signed with Edmonton.

The Ducks will receive three draft picks as compensation.

Penner scored 29 goals and had 16 assists for 45 points in his first full NHL season.

He was an undrafted college player who signed with Anaheim as a free agent in 2004.
