CLEVELAND (AP) - Kenny Lofton is back for another playoff run with Cleveland as the Indians have acquired the 40-year-old outfielder from Texas for minor league catcher Max Ramirez.
It'll be Lofton's third stint with the Indians. He was a five-time all-star in nine seasons with Cleveland, which hasn't made the playoffs since he left as a free agent after the 2001 season.
Lofton is expected to arrive in Cleveland and be in the lineup for the Indians' series opener tonight against Minnesota.
Cleveland enters tonight's game trailing first-place Detroit by one and a-half games in the A-L Central.
