OTTAWA - John Muckler is out as the Ottawa Senators general
manager.
The Senators have promoted head coach Bryan Murray to GM.
Murray's contract was set to expire June 30.
It wasn't immediately clear if Muckler had resigned or been
fired by the team.
Murray says the team will begin searching for a new head coach
in the next couple weeks.
The move, announced at an afternoon news conference, comes after
several days of speculation of a front-office shakeup.
