Fredonia native Jennifer Stuczynski set a new American record on the way to qualifing for the US Olympic team in the Pole Vault. Stuczynski needed to clear 15'1 at the trials in Eugene, Oregon on her final attempt in order to qualify for the Bejing Olympics. Stuczynski then went on to clear 16 feet, one and 3/4 inches to break her own American record in the event. Stuczynski will head to Bejing with the rest of the US team for the Summer Olympics, with start August 8.
