Cheektowaga native Liz Johnson was the second seed heading into Wednesday nights stepladder finals of the United States Bowling Congress Queens Tournament in Michigan. In the nationally-televised semifinals, however, Johnson lost to third-seeded Amy Stolz, 234-232. Johnson was the runner up in this tournament in 2006.
Stolz would lose in the championship match to Lynda Barnes.
